Is Your Computer Suitable for Windows 11?

Here are the basic system requirements to install Windows 11 on your computer.

  • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with at least 2 cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC). (Examples include Intel Core i3, i5, i7 from the eighth generation onward).
  • RAM: 4 gigabytes (GB).
  • Storage: A storage device with 64 GB or more.
  • System firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable.
  • TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0.
  • Graphics card: Compatible with DirectX 12 or later with a WDDM 2.0 driver.
  • Display: High definition (720p) display, larger than 9' diagonally, with 8 bits per color channel.
  • Internet connection and Microsoft account: For Windows 11 Pro and Windows 11 Home, an internet connection and a Microsoft account are needed during the initial setup.

If your computer doesn’t meet these criteria, you might not be able to install Windows 11. However, these tools can help you check compatibility:

  2. WhyNotWin11: This application can be downloaded for free here. Run it to check if your PC is compatible with Windows 11.
